Wexford70 Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 (edited) Some fantastic old footage at a time when cars used be lifted onto the ferries by crane Prep work for the first France ferry required a ramp to let cars drive on. https://www.rte.ie/archives/2018/0109/931954-rosslare-gateway-to-europe/ Edited August 13, 2021 by Wexford70

They were the ICRs of the 1950s AND 1960s; thus a RTR model is essential at some time! 1

DiveController Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 (edited) I'm sure you meant that AEC (Associated Equipment Company) railcars. Lovely views of 2611 with its 1st class accommodations and 2646. Lovely footage. Thanks for posting! While there, I noticed something on the RO-RO traffic on the Munster, the point of interest being the road traffic that existed at the time c. 1968 https://www.rte.ie/archives/2013/0530/453547-the-car-ferry-a-new-travel-option-in-1968/ Edited August 13, 2021 by DiveController 2
