Depends which MK2 - the 'original' Irish MK2D's or the late 'imported' MK2A/B's - both were on the Enterprise, around 2006/7 as pointed out above. MK2D's pushed off when the De Dietrich's were introduced but appeared occasionally afterwards

NIR, the original Enterprise fleet all gone by 1999, the Gatwicks made a few runs, last one being in June 2008

80 Class were Mk2s of course, indeed some had trailer cars from the original Enterprise Mk2 fleet.

Before the 3000s were delivered they would have been first choice for a substitution on the Enterprise, but I wonder when that last happened?

According to Edwin McMillans book one failed on the 16.50hrs Enterprise from Dublin on 31 December 2005. Albeit a photo shows a 2 car 80 class on the 18.10 ex Belfast in August 2005.
