DJ Dangerous Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Just out of curiosity, did 141’s ever haul the Mk2A/B/C coaches on a regular basis, or was it just the larger locos like 071’s and 201’s? 2 Quote
flange lubricator Posted August 25 Posted August 25 (edited) Yes they were hauled by 121/141/181 locos. As per the picturebelow from Jonathan Allen’s collection on Flickr. Edited August 25 by flange lubricator 3 2 Quote

I had no idea. 2 Quote
Ironroad Posted Thursday at 09:49 Author Posted Thursday at 09:49 Interesting pictures. In the first picture the coach behind the loco is a MK2A and in the second picture the first and third coaches are MK2A's. So the Murphy Models/Bachmann MK2A model which is the only RTR Irish model of this coach ever produced is a must for anyone wishing to complete a train consisting of MK2A/B/C coaches. 1 Quote

They do sit very well together, the Murphy / Bachmann Mk2A’s with the A/S / IRM Mk2B/C’s. The A/S / IRM IE livery Mk2’s have to be one of the best model coaches of the last few years, and the Murphy Bachmann models don’t look out of place beside them. 2 Quote
