LNERW1 Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Having picked up this wonderful abomination at the Greatest Gathering, I thought there was some potential for a stupid running joke in it. So, here comes “The Heretic”. A railtour exploring the metals of anyone that will let this creature on their layout. As it is the tour is only starting out, only calling at Beagnach End; And at Bantry; So, as I help out @Metrovik at exhibitions and hopefully get on the circuit myself in a few years’ time, the Heretic shall explore further- with consent from layout owners of course. Exhibitors beware! 4 2
Galteemore Posted September 28 Posted September 28 (edited) Fabulous. Although someone who takes his modelling fairly seriously (currently researching window frame colours…..) a bit of levity is essential. The late David Jenkinson, a former RAF admin officer and later museum curator /model carriage guru - used to advocate running one piece of rolling stock which could never possibly have visited your railway. Just to remind oneself it’s actually meant to be entertaining and not an exercise in masochism. Edited September 28 by Galteemore 1
leslie10646 Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Just wait, I have "plans" to replace everything on Portadown Jct with Southern Railway stuff - very little goods, but nice Bulleid era steam, diesel and electric. 1
