IÉ 2600, 2700/2750, 2800

Hi all, wondering if anyone would have any knowledge on what would be the best donor models for the above DMU classes, particularly the 2750. And also any chassis that would be easy to convert to 21mm, or would i be better making a custom chassis?

Hi Celtic,

You could use class 158s, and move the doors to the correct positions on the body side for the 2600/2700s. 2750/2800s might be better represented with class 150s. At least thats my plans.

Bachmann 158s are cheap enough if you dont want all the latest tech onboard, but 150s are not as common i have found. Im keeping eye out for both myself.

This is my version, Bachmann Class 150 representing the 2700 class. The only alteration that I made was to remove the driver's door on one side, remove the exhaust and remove some of the roof ridges towards either end.

Is that a 3d printed body or a bit of cutting and filling? Looks great!
