Question

I have some Rail Tech decals which are two years old and now wont seperate from the backing sheet when dipped in water. They were stored in a plastic pouch in a drawer and were not in any envoirment with extremes of heat or humidity. I have tried using warm water but that wont work either. Any ideas?

Are you sure they aren't pressfix if not then try leaving them in the water for a while longer.

Thanks Nelson, they are not presfix. The transfers are tan CIE broken wheels with "CIE" in the center in white. If left in water long enough the tan print will fall off. I have some white broken wheels which are even older and stored in the same place and they work fine.

Think youve answered your own question pat. They may as well be stickers at this point!

We're certainly sorry to hear of this issue and keen to find out more, as it's not something we've encountered before. We know there are kitbuilders who buy in bulk and who don't have similar issues, so we'd urge you to pm us either via this site or on our web site, letting us know the order number and any other pertinent info. We did change paper supplier approx 18 months ago though this should not have impacted any durability as we make sure all aspects are rigorously tested (the quality of which we know can be vouched for by numerous users of this forum). Nevertheless we are keen to give everyone a positive customer experience so please do let us know the details.

Meanwhile on another note we will shortly be releasing yet more packs to further strengthen our growing range, and we will continue to announce those here as well of course on our web site. Amongst these will be bumble bee lining and very likely detail packs for the 450 class. Similarly we have had numerous folks ask about more NCC offerings so expect to see something in that direction also.

Happy modelling to all.

Hi Steve just on the NCC issue have you adjusted the size to accommodate the coaches? and can you increase the size to O Gauge to suit the tender sides on the 2.6.0 W class mogu? Thank you Colin.

Hi Colin - absolutely. Working with quite a substantial workload as ever but hopefully the extended NCC offerings should not be too far off.

With regards to the Mogul, please could you either PM us or drop us a line via our web site so we can discuss some specifics on this one?

All the best,

Steve
