Build Nir 450 castle class

Hey guys I'm interested to know if anybody's had a bash at a NIR 450 class in any livery and what's the best donors to use thanks for reading

Hi there, I have seen some decent 150 re paints to make them look like a 450, but if you want something more accurate, worsley works do a brass kit for the 450 class, apart from mentioned I haven't seen anyone bash a 450 class before.

Very time consuming to convert from donors eg 150 class units and these being underfloor powered you would need to re-power and keep underframes clear for brake gear etc.

As Nelson says a 450 class brass kit from worsley works is easier to build and can be completed within a very short time frame too...

Bratchells make some options that can work with modification too.

I've done this a few years back using mk3 body shells and a motorised chassis, came put alright for a first attempt

Here is one I made from a Dapol Class 151/2 some time ago.

 

 

But it would not touch a Worsley Works kit, but a lot easier to make.
