WT CLASS 2-6-4T No. 4 Posted August 19, 2014 Share Posted August 19, 2014 End of The Line for Ghost Trains as 31 Stations under 'Full Review' According to the Sunday Indo 31 stations out of a total of 147 face closure due to lack of passengers using them. The info came from The National Transport Agency, National Rail Census. Attymon with 2 passengers a day, Cloughjordan with 5 boarding + 4 arriving, Roscrea with 15 boarding + 1 arriving, Nenagh with 18 boarding + 2 arriving it looks like a clear out of parts of Rural Ireland. Even in the Capitol the relatively new Adamstown only has 85 boarding and 107 arriving and Clondalkin has 37 boarding + 46 arriving. Even The Westeren Rail Corridor only caters for 1000 passengers a day and as for Limerick to Ballybrophy only 73 passengers a day.
