Sulzer201 Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 I was over in Newcastle during the week with a group of young students who were on an exchange visit as part of the Erasmus+ initiative. I took three students along to the premises of the Newcastle Model Railway Club on Monday evening and we all thoroughly enjoyed the visit. A huge thanks to John and his colleagues there who couldn't have made us feel more welcome and it was great to see young people being fascinated and interested in the hobby. For anyone travelling to the North East I would definitely recommend a visit to the club-rooms on 18 Westmoreland Road, just up from Central Station and opposite the Life Centre. The club room is open on Monday and Thursday nights and the members give a warm welcome to visitors. There are some fine layouts and works-in progress on display.
