Colour for NIR 111 respray.

Hi folks.

 

Could anyone provide me with the code for the original blue as used on the NIR 111 class when delivered? I understand it was lighter than the current livery.

 

Also, the ends were red? Was this just painted, or a reflective sticker?

The end sticker was sort of red dayglow orange like what IE used on the 141/071s in the late 90s. I find the 80s NIR blue used on the Murphy Model 111 a tad too bright compared to my memory of it.

The original light blue is very close to Ford Electric Monza Blue.

It was indeed lighter - a good bit lighter. The end bits were dayglow rather than yellow, and buffer beams were black.
