Mullafernaghan Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 Hi folks, I picked these up in Bangor today at the North Down Model Railway Society exhibition. Quote
jhb171achill Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 I'd probably be interested in a Mayner one if anyone has a 2nd hand one..... Quote
Mayner Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 I'd probably be interested in a Mayner one if anyone has a 2nd hand one..... My TPOs are nearly as scarce as the prototype. I should be able to sort you out with one once I have re-jigged the castings in brass Quote
jhb171achill Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 No probs, John - it's the tin van (luggage van) I'm primarily interested in. Maybe you might PM me in due course. Quote
Mullafernaghan Posted April 24, 2017 Author Posted April 24, 2017 They were £99 each. I know that's a lot of money, but if I bought a brass kit and spent many hours assembling and painting it I would end up with something which wouldn't look as good as these, so they're worth every penny to me! Mullafernaghan Posted April 24, 2017 Author Posted April 24, 2017 I should have pointed out that this is due to my poor modelling skills and is not a reflection on excellent brass kits and expert builders! They were £99 each. I know that's a lot of money, but if I bought a brass kit and spent many hours assembling and painting it I would end up with something which wouldn't look as good as these, so they're worth every penny to me!
