burnthebox
Hi all, anyone know what are the electrical connections between the tender & loco for, also where are the screws to open the tender for getting at the motor, as there do's not appear to be any way to open it,
0 Broithe
Most of the current collection occurs on the loco wheels, due to the traction tyres on the tender - the wires transfer the current. I've been inside the tender - I wonder if the body is just clipped on - can't remember and it isn't here at the moment to check.. http://web.blissett.me.uk/house/hornby-service-sheets/ss-204.jpg Edited September 17, 2012 by Broithe
0 burnthebox
Hi & thanks Broithe for that, a bit too technical for me, it's back in it's box now, the other F/Scotm, Loco driven is performing beautiful on the R/Road, right now, so I'm happy enough for now,
0 Guest hidden-agenda
The tender body is clipped on.There are two small indentations (inside) on each side of the body and the clips are fitted to the tender floor.I removed mine with very little force. There is a red wire to the brass pin that connects the tender to the loco so i hope this helps.
