There is indeed, it is covered in I-PWY-1141 Engineering Requirements for Passenger Platforms and Barrow Paths. In summary, the yellow line is to be 100mm wide, lettering is to be 250mm tall, and text is to be repeated at a rate of 6 per 100m length of platform for both Irish and English (I think that means 12 total per 100m).

The specification varies when there is a requirement to have 'Mind the Gap' on the platform. There should also be a 150mm white line along the platform edge and tactile slabs along the length. This all applies to new platform surfaces.

The font is Brunel Positive (apparently), however I use use Transport font, which is widely used for similar applications (as the name suggests).

I do have a pdf copy of this document if you want a look. It's a good one for the rivet counters! :D

Thanks Robert for that.  Good to have the dimensions and I'd forgotten about the tactile part.  Have to do something to show that.  I was hoping there might be some images but I've been reworking the screen grabs I have and they seem to be working out OK now and might just be the business.  Slow process but will pass for weathered images.

Thanks Broithe.

Líne buí is embedded in my brain and I was surprised it's no longer there.  Might be something to do with this.  A friend was told at a security check to 'Stand behind the yellow'.  The place was packed with people and there was no yellow to be seen anywhere so he stood in line behind a lady wearing a yellow jacket.  He was escorted from the line by a guard with hand on open holster.

Nice notices.
