MM121 headlight

Hi, Is there a way to increase the brightness of the headlight on the MM121 loco?. At the moment it is very dull.

Are you running the loco on DC or DCC?

Hi, I am running the loco on DCC. I am afraid now that if I increase power to the bulb, I might blow it. It is a very small LED.

On DCC the led is getting 12v all the time irrespective of the throttle control, so if that's what you mean by 'increase power' all will be OK!

Also some locos have dimmer lights than others
Check out the 3 IR ones
127 &  133 have brighter lights than 130 as per the original locos
And as Eoin says DC lights are reliant on more power for more brightness

Thanks for your replies. I have locos 125,131 and 134. Maybe the lights were meant to be like that, best left alone.

I reckon 125 & 131 should not be too bright but 134 should as it would have had LED's

Spot on, took 134 out of the box and compared it to the other two, much brighter.
