  1. Some views of ex M&GWR stations in 1967 some 30 years after closure. I hope the photographers identification notes were correct. Clifden Achill Ballynahinch
  2. A couple today from Aldergrove on the former GNRI Antrim branch ca 1955 I think.
  3. A bit of a contrast for todays photos, First the 'ancient'; Ex T&D 3T at Drumshanbo with the daily mixed 20 March 1959 I was surprised to see looking at Google street view that the Water Tower, Goods store and I think also the station building still exist with a bypass road built between the goods store and the tower which appear to be well maintained. Then we move to the 'modern' (for 22August 1953) for a somewhat cleaner well pristine even 802 on the 3.40pm (SO) Dublin-Cork.
  4. A couple from Dublin, Heuston circa 1965 today. B161 + B164 and E403 shunting.
  5. Does this help? The photographer took a photo of the train in Avoca station as well. EDIT OOPS, Sorry JHB I thought you were referring to the photo of A6 I had put on the Archive Thread morning Doh! Can this one be bumped across ?
  6. Yes its Dromod probably June 1957, I am sorting out a Collection of mainly UK negs but there are some 100+ Irish and my fee is that I keep those.
  7. I've had a few A Class arrive this week including A51 which has already lost a windscreen wiper. XXXXX small parts!
  8. A return to my Collection today. Added to Flickr is 397 at Mallow on the 6.15pm Cork - Rosslare Harbour, 20 June 1953 In the pipeline I am processing another 100 plus negatives, mainly Cavan & Leitrim and West Clare but there are some 'standard' gauge views including this one of A6 approaching Avoca ca 1960. My Flickr total views are approaching 46 million, if I got 1p a shot that would be £460,000 - I could have probably just about commissioned an 00 scale C Class for that. Unfortunately I rather think that if viewers had to pay 1p , total income would probably have been £460.
  9. A couple more from the late JW Armstrong late 1940's early 1950's: 192 at Valentia Harbour. NCC no 16 at Belfast Docks, looked ancient but was built 1915 to an old design.
  10. A couple today taken by the late JW Armstrong probably late 1940's. Civil Engineers Inspection saloon No 5 and crew/passenger. The Tralee terminus of the T&D railway slumbering between monthly cattle specials.
  11. A few memories of the not so distant past 1999 by photographer Graham Roose. Cloughjordan 155 11 April 1999 Limerick Junction 173 on ballast, 28 August 1999 Limerick Junction 134 + 128 , 28 August 1999
  12. A couple of JG Dewing views added to Flickr today. 16 May 1948 Balbriggan Oil fired conversion T2 No 2 Aghadavoyle , S 172 15 May 1948
  13. A couple of Killybegs, County Donegal views today on flickr. Both 21 April 1953. Railcar 12 on 3.50pm to Donegal Town Also at Killybegs Great Northern Railway Bus no 206. I wonder if this was a scheduled service or was the bus on hire to the CDRJC? I am sorting out a large collection of UK & Irish medium format negs from the late 1950's early 60's which includes a fair number of Cavan & Leitrim & West Clare images but sadly only a couple CDRJC at Donegal Town. Some nice CIE & ex GNRI views as well.
  14. A couple of NCC views today by HC Casserley Waterside, Derry station W , 95 on 11.10am to Belfast 9 April 1948. This neg has developing faults at the top. Waterside, Londonderry. 60 on 4pm to Belfast & Larne 24 June 1937
  15. I believe it was a cancelled order for a standard gauge bridge so offered to the Donegal railway cheap. Might have some good news for you shortly Jim
  16. These are from the ARPT taken by the late J W Armstrong late 1940's early 1950's B&CDR 198 Double Horse Box. built by the railway 1890 wdn August 1954 (Info Desmond Coakham) CDRJC Glenties branch Finn Railway bridge at Stranorlar. View from a 600 series GNRI AEC Railcar.

  19. Yes I would agree, appears to be loaded onto a bogie well wagon.
  20. Another (this is a bit addictive) but this is a great view of Campile station on the South Wexford line, the entire station is shown and there is even a wagon in the Shelburne Co-op siding. http://catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000733958/HierarchyTree
  21. This is an excellent overall view of most of Inchicore in 1955 showing the coal tower, shed and works. http://catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000733435/HierarchyTree
  22. It was probably either life expired and taken off but more likely taken off to avoid paying rates in the 1920's-30's as a cost cutting exercise by the GSR
  23. A couple of views today on flickr Muddy view Thurles with J15 164 shunting wagons 27 June 1959 and clearer view of Broadstone roundhouse 28 June 1959
  24. Jim there are a couple of parts of Stranorlar, I didn't realise there was a large bus garage on the station forecourt but some interesting roof detail of the station building. Also distant views of Donegal Town station.
  25. First one is Stirling and the last one Yeovil Junction the rest look like that boring bit of England south of Geordieland and north of Salisbury
