  8. That is an incredible photo! Those search lights are definitely military in origin. An example of these was (for YEARS) in the museum at Fort Davis (Fort Carlisle) on the eastern side of the mouth of Cork Harbour. Only last year it was moved to the new museum on Spike Island.

  16. Evening all, Today marked the East Cork portion of the 2013 weedsprayer campaign. GM 083 was stabled over the weekend in Mallow and today operated the train to Cobh. GM 218 is currently the standby loco in Cork and with the lack of run-round facilities at Cobh, hauled the train from Cobh to Midleton via Cork with 083 taking over again at Midleton to haul the train back to Mallow.   22. Heirflick, from what I can see there is some "art" on parts of them alright. Though, to be honest, the green mold growing on them looks a lot worse.
