  1. The fan is correct, it's just the colour of the grille that needs correcting.
  2. Correct, they should be black and the factory is correcting this on the final models. Simple things like this can pop up but it's why we get these samples so we can tweak what is finally delivered. Cheers! Fran
  3. Was once in W&H in 1994 visiting the London branch of the family. Bought two Bachmann coaches there out of the pocket money! No model shops in London now, save for Janes Trains in Tooting I believe.
  4. Happy Monday, everyone! Today it's time to show off the remaining black and tan locos, A15 and A39r with their full band livery. A15 And A39r.... As you probably already know, A39r (and A23r for that matter) are already sold out, but we do have a limited supply of A15 remaining. So, if you are looking for one, you know what to do... https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/a-class-locomotive/products/a15-a-class-locomotive Cheers! Fran
  5. There are photos of it with A1 numbers between the windscreen and on the buffer beam that popped up in the Facebook groups. Will do a deep dive look and see if I can find them again. Sadly, Facebook is useless for finding old threads of info, why forums are better!
  6. 001 can also be done with A1 numbering in Supertrain as per the launch service. I think the numbering only lasted a couple of days, but did look different, especially on the buffer beam. Decisions decisions... lol
  7. We have debated this one ourselves. Would people buy a special edition in this livery?
  8. Super Train time! One of the iconic A Class liveries and heralding a new and optimistic age for Irish railways, the Supertrain livery is a must for anyone modelling the 1970s-late 1980s. Check out 018 in this classic paint job. Naturally this has been a very popular livery and a great era for both passenger and freight. Personally I cant wait to see these weathered up! Grab yours here https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/a-class-locomotive
  9. Indeed, both original and toughened. Have we modelled both? Of course...
  10. To quell the fraught debate about the correct shade of black, we're revealing two black beauties to you this morning, A12 and A55. A55... And A12 (A bit of a personal favourite I must say...) Regarding the handrails, they are indeed plastic and we have instructed the factory to improve the packaging protection in this area which they are doing to prevent the bending in these pics. This will also include the tablet catchers being in the correct position too as the ones on A12 got a bit bent as can bee seen. They are also improving the yellow end on A12 to take care of any fuzziness. Grab them both here, folks! Perfect haulers of our grey bubbles, CIE cravens and more... https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/a-class-locomotive/availability_pre-order?
  11. hI Murphaph, Silver and greens would have been the most suitable for the steam/diesel transition. Cheers! Fran
  12. Yes, fit on these handrails will be improved on the production models you guys receive!
  13. A46 of course... We have decent stocks of A42 left, but A46 is somewhat endangered sales wise with not many left. So, if you fancy one, we're advise grabbing it sooner than later. https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/a-class-locomotive/availability_pre-order? Cheers! Fran
  14. We'll give a glimpse of this beauty in all its production goodness tomorrow...
  15. Hi Sean, We never showed a pre-production version of this loco? We did show A46, which is in the darker lined green livery? https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/a-class-locomotive/products/a46-a-class-locomotive The A's wore two shades of green. This was matched to a genuine paint sample. Cheers! Fran
  16. Sorry, not sure I follow? It looks like the above? Cheers! Fran
  17. Morning everyone, One A Class variant we never showed at decoration stage was A42 in green. The decorated shell we got was a bit wrong to say the least, but after sorting out the decoration with China we got it looking ship-shape as it should be. Check it out! Pre order yours right here: https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/a-class-locomotive/products/a42-a-class-locomotive
  18. My turn to tease... You know what to do... https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/a-class-locomotive
  19. And has just left our stock levels. A39r now sold out!
  20. A39r is a most endangered species. As are IR white stripe liveries various. Grab them while you can, folks! Cheers Fran
  21. You'd be surprised how much shorter the A is to a 31 George, they really are a small loco. Hope the chassis on your 31 hasnt exploded, like it did on mine! It did run well before that though, though the rotating fan rubber band was clipped like I have done on all my Hornby locos. Really affected the way my 56 ran until I done away with it. Cheers! Fran
  22. Hi everyone, These beauties are in production so on course for delivery on schedule. Pre-ordering has been strong so dont miss out! https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/tara-mines/availability_pre-order? Cheers! Fran
