  1. Go for it Brassnut, no rules against that!
  2. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and with trains always an integral part of Santa's delivery list, we decided to go all out and decorate IRM Towers to make the occasion. Yep, that'll do grand.
  3. Almost 500 replies since Friday evening Rich, which demonstrates the size of the market compared to home! Some great suggestions, some crazy ones and the odd one that would leave you scratching your head. Overall it's always a worthwhile exercise to do and will be a great help to us!
  4. Hi everyone, We have put together a short, basic survey which should soak up any forum froth and give you a chance to lobby your case on what you would like from Accurascale. So if you're into British outline, give it a go! Complete our survey and you will be in with a chance of winning one of our first models as a prize! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/accurscale-survey Thanks, Fran
  5. You can credit Richie with the knowledge Rich. He’s delved deep into research to be as thorough as possible. I think he enjoys it really though!
  6. Well spotted Railer, on the orange bubbles the numbering on the walkway bore no relation to their running number unlike the ivory bubbles, something to do with differentiating between route usage and/or axle boxes so the above is correct.
  7. Correct Railer, vacuum braked. Thanks everyone, have to say I do love the orange bubbles, they really pop out the details. I will be in the MRSI clubrooms with them this Friday if any member wants a closer look. We are still on course to get them to you before Christmas, but if you want them before Santa starts doing his delivery we would advise getting your orders in now so we can get prepared and shipped in time!
  8. We've just been gazing at our pre-production samples of the orange bubbles at IRM Towers, and we're getting very giddy indeed! We're delighted on how they turned out, and some of the fine tampo printing in particular is testament the skilled souls in our factory. These are due to be with us next week and we will be working tirelessly to get them to everyone before Christmas! Have you ordered yours yet? www.irishrailwaymodels.com/shop
  9. I'm a big fan of GT3 too George but it looks like the rest of the gang wont go for it! Would love to see your kit when it's finished!
  10. Yes.
  11. Hi everyone, As mentioned elsewhere, Irish Railway Models are venturing into the UK market in 2018 under our new brand, Accurascale. This will see us do British outline models in OO scale across a variety of eras and subjects. During our last customer survey it was indicated that a huge percentage of Irish railway modellers also model UK outline so Accurascale is sure to be of interest to you. Don't worry though, we will still be bringing out lots of Irish outline models in the coming years, including three, or maybe even four new models in 2018 alone for the Irish market. Accurascale models will be realises which have no impact on the amount of Irish models we will be doing with IRM. Anyway, our first release will be in February 2018 and is currently in the tooling room. We have just put our Facebook page live, so if you could give it a like we would really appreciate it too! https://www.facebook.com/AccurascaleUK/ We're also sure you've seen the video of us talking to Andy York of British Railway Modelling magazine and of course, RMWeb. But for those of you who haven't, here it is below. Cheers!
  12. Can we stick to the subject of Silver Fox's new releases please? Thanks everyone!
  13. Hey everyone, Just a heads up; We're 75% sold out of the ivory bubbles already. Thank you to everyone who placed an order with us! We really appreciate it and they have been a great success. It's incredible to think that they only arrived just over a month ago! We would recommend that you grab some now before they go completely. We all know what happened with pack A after all. Pack B is not far behind from going completely, with C and D catching up too. They ain't hanging around!
  14. Are your family or friends looking to get you a model for Christmas but you're having trouble explaining your cement bubble from your elbow to them? Let our new gift card take the stress out of Christmas! We have just launched the IRM Giftcard, which can be used on our website, at our warehouse or at any show we attend. It’s easy to top up and simple to use. You or your family can put €25, €50 or €100 at a time onto the card, and even top it up multiple times, turning it into a savings card too for future IRM purchases coming down the line. Follow the link and drop a hint to the family on what you really want this Christmas! https://irishrailwaymodels.com/shop/card/gift-card/
  15. LATEST NEWS FROM CHINA!! FIRST LOOK AT ORANGE BUBBLES!!! We've just received these images of our orange bubbles from China which will be shipping to us in the coming weeks in time for Christmas! We love how the detail really pops out on the grey chassis in particular! What do you think of them? We are doing two packs of these beauties which you can order now via www.irishrailwaymodels.com/shop. They're certain to prove very popular.
  16. You never know what’s on our list, George!
  17. They’re all I’ve got!
  18. Always a pleasure to see you Noel (and the other forum members at the show, it was like a local one I recognized so many faces!) hope you had a nice evening with your good lady! re the video; “they’re thin on the ice”?? My god! I’ve spent my working life throwing others in front of cameras, from sporting stars to politicians. Was a long time since I did it myself but it was good to do, even if I have a face more suited to radio Warley, as always, was an interesting experience and I would recommend it to anyone to do it at least once. There really is something for everyone. Patrick and I spent a lot of the show in work mode, but we did get to see a few layouts and exhibits too this afternoon before the flight home.
  19. Cheers Seamus. I think Patrick was referring to 461...
  20. Absolutely stunning Popeye, no other words for it. Well done!
  21. Exactly. Everyone and their mother knows it’s Sambo.
  22. They won’t be, Steve just wants you to buy several!
  23. Due to the volume of distribution we are doing to Ireland and the UK, we can now offer FREE SHIPPING to the island of Ireland for all orders over €150 and free shipping to Great Britain for all orders over €200! Another reason the take the plunge and order some ballast wagons or cement bubbles (or both!)
  24. Now I know what Santa’s elves feel like. So many bubbles to wrap...

    1. Noel

      Noel

Enjoy it.  A new business will be hard work, but engaging, rewarding, enjoyable and exciting at times. 10 years down the road you'll look back at the intensity of these early 'startup' days with fond memories.

  25. I’ve seen Eoin’s creations in the flesh. They look excellent!
