My attempt at a refuelling Point, it doesn’t come anywhere near yours.

I have ordered a hose/pump assembly from Mudmagnets to add as well.

Wow, that’s something extra.  Might I enquire where you sourced your refuelling point ?

My search on Google was a long way off what you found.

I think these IRM A Class should carry some sort of health warning, like cigarettes, warning of their addictiveness. I'm now the proud owner of 3 (018, A23R and A42) which is definitely enough for my small layout. I know I ought to stop there and fill the other gaps on my wanted list. But I'm looking at A30 and A55 like a kid in a sweetshop! 

Try Chris Dyer, I got A30 from him, I believe he still has some A’s in stock.

What would cause the shunt lights to stop working on loco No. 018 ? F23 is operational, but not working.

Which wire or wires control shunt lights, in case one or more has come undone and may need to be re soldered ?

I can’t see any wires loose from solder tabs at either cab end !

Ask whoever you plan to get your sound chip from for a suitable speaker for a 141, there are several but there is a bit of work involved in fitting one, I am sure it has been covered here somewhere

Thanks WE, I have a few 141’s that I have fitted sound to already, it was the 8 pin on box that threw me.

It is fitted with a Blank 21 pin that allows it to run on DC. If you fit a DCC decoder , sound or non sound, you can set it to run on DC and DCC.

I trust someone has fitted a sound decoder to this model. I haven’t removed the bodywork yet as I’m too busy. The paper work states it has a 21 pin decoder, but as photo shows on box it says 8 pin.

Could someone shine some light, 8 or 21 pin to save me time before I shell out over a £115 on a sound decoder.
