I actually lost sleep thinking about this. All that work!
That's what happens when society becomes ever more feral.

Ever since the 1860s this area has been very flood-prone. From the day the railway opened into Downpatrick, the BCDR had bother with flooding in the area. Once a generation there's a really bad one, like recently. The DCDR, like the BCDR before it, has experienced pretty bad floods here before but the recent one was exceptionally serious. Given that the ITG has their operation base here too, it hit the ITG also.
The question is whether the really bad ones will happen more often.

So, is €3 Million the final estimate or is the tally still rising?
These figures never stand still and I think we have to realise that this only covers the place until the next flood, unless the powers that be are motivated to design and introduce flood prevention/diversion measures.

Yes, the one about re-engineing the B101s was very much true. As you say, they got superb use out of the 071s - but imagine if 071-type engines had gone into the Sulzers - would they still be seen in Ballina at the front of a train of containers?
They might only have lasted up until the 1990s before being withdrawn, just as the As and Cs were at that time.

According to the GLS parcel tracking, the RPSI set I ordered has made it to Britain, but then the trail goes a bit cold.
I have a Parcelforce track number which claims the parcel was subjected to an attempted delivery on Valentine's Day, and then left at the local post office. My friend and I went to that post office today, only to be told that the parcel was not there!!
Hope it hasn't been stolen....

Absolute beauty.
The connecting rods should be inside of the coupling rods, though.

This one is currently for sale. The railway equipment forms a separate part of the sale, but is should be easy to combine the two.

To be fair, when I look at the room available on my daily Thameslink to / from central London, a horse could easily stand - and turn round - in the central section between the sliding doors.

...., there are tales of travelers and traders taking their horses in the lifts of Ballymun Flats, before the 'urban youth horse" culture developed into a major phenomon on the 'praries" on the Council Estates on the outskirts of Dublin City during the late 80s and 90s.
You might remember that awkward scene in The Commitments....

A real blast from the past. A group of us were discussing MTK kits at the club only last week. Pretty good for their day, though also known for the El Crappo range of 7mmNG kits....
Colin Massingham, of whom it was said that he was a stranger to engineering drawings, preferring instead to guesstimate by eye - see his early Steamcast kits for various BR Standard engines.
The Elcrappo brand also covered his 7mm standard gauge kits.

Has any thought been given to the possibility of selling the wider bogies and lighting kits as IRM / Accurascale accessory packs?
Four bogies as one accessory pack and two lighting kits as a seperate pack, maybe?
Would be lovely to be able to upgrade the older Bachmann Mk2A's to run with these.
Aren't the Bachmann / Murphy mounting points supposed to be a bit different to the IRM ones? Not sure a direct swap is possible.

Well THAT escalated quickly, was €150 plus P&P yesterday and still has 6 days to run..
The leading bidder is either really desperate to own this one, or is leading everyone up the garden path by putting in repeated joke bids.

Has anyone in the UK received them yet?....
Nope.
As I have a trio of Murphy RPSI Mk2s here, will be interesting to compare the IRM bogie and mounting design with that of Murphy.

..... lifetime manufacturer’s warranty on all new, in stock and forthcoming IRM models!
But, what about the IRM models you already own? Well, we have not forgotten about you either!
So, how about this? We are EXTENDING our lifetime manufacturer’s warranty to all models ever sold new by us, or new by our retailers in the past, too!....
I'm just after getting a flashback to this:

Update: the local post office has found the parcel and we have retrieved it!
It does look like it has either been drop-kicked or partly crushed in transit....
