  1. Are these Renfe 319's also GM's? They sure look similar.
  2. Great to hear that. Fingers crossed 6105 will be one of the few kept along with the cafe/bar coach.
  3. Oh interesting, great shot! They must be getting transferred for the scrap.
  4. No Mk3's ran at 11:00 today on transfer anyway.
  5. Thanks gm171! I hope someone gets shots of them in Dundalk before the scrap.
  6. Irish Rail 224 and 6 Mk3's (1 egv, 3 standard class and 2 restaurant coaches) passed Laytown at 12:53 today on service from North Wall to Dundalk. [video=youtube;TGj2lw86f-U]
  7. Part 1 of my trip to Germany and Austria in March are now uploaded. This clip shows a preview of the new DB BR245 diesel locomotives soon to replace the BR218's on the passenger routes. They were stabled in Kempten Hauptbahnhof when this show was taken... More videos from my part 1 of my trip are available on my channel at youtube.com/deutschbahn
  8. Interesting, I better start camping in Gormanston so...
  9. Good luck to anyone on the forums doing the leaving cert or junior cert exams tomorrow. Don't worry they will fly by
  10. Any idea where the mk3 cafe/bar coach is? Is it in north wall is was it already scrapped?
  11. Yeah set 1 to set 6 are fitted with TPWS and AWS for use on NIR. They are also unique not showing the Irish Rail "Tricolour" logo icon beside the "Irish Rail, Iarnrod Eireann" text due to controversial reasons if they run across the border as far as i know.
  12. Interesting to see which will replace the DD's when they are overhauled. It will bring a bit more variety to northern line come the summer anyway. 3000 class, more 29000 class, maybe even the odd ICR
  13. How the north wall has changed so quickly baffles me. Look of this picture on google maps with no mk3's in the foreground! Will those 7 tracks in the foreground be removed once the mk3's get shifted I wonder?
  14. No mk3's moving around 11:00am on the Drogheda line today anyway, apart from the ones attached to the De Dietrich's of course
  15. Irish Rail 29000 class no.29012 has got the new livery as well as 29017 seen in this video passing Laytown for Drogheda at 09:33 on 22/5/14. 29017 passed with the new livery later. It appears the logo "stickers" are falling off in some places of 29017 already!
  16. No, looks like Sunday service this Easter Monday on the passenger routes anyway.
  17. Depending on how soon Irish Rail redo a new timetable, could be next year. Usually there is only small changes to freight when new timetables come in. Sometimes they tend not to run on schedule between Drogheda and Navan though.
  18. I got the times myself a while back of the tara's from someone who works in the freight side of Irish Rail.
  19. Irish Rail Tara's Mineral Train: Direction Dublin to Navan... Alexandra Road Tara Terminal 04:45 --> North Wall 05:00 --> Howth Junction 05:16--> Tara Mines 07:11 Tue-Fri Alexandra Road Tara Terminal 14:00 --> North Wall 14:20 --> Howth Junction 14:36--> Tara Mines 16:25 Mon-Thurs Alexandra Road Tara Terminal 14:00 --> North Wall 14:20 --> Howth Junction 14:36--> Drogheda 15:15 Fri Only Alexandra Road Tara Terminal 19:15 --> North Wall 19:30 --> Howth Junction 19:48--> Tara Mines 21:58 Mon-Thurs Alexandra Road Tara Terminal 19:15 --> North Wall 19:30 --> Howth Junction 19:48--> Drogheda 20:27 Fri Only Alexandra Road Tara Terminal 23:35 --> North Wall 23:50 --> Howth Junction 00:06--> Drogheda 00:45 Mon-Thurs I'm not too sure about the services from Drogheda to Tara Mines on the continuation services times on Friday or Sunday @15:15 and @20:27. I think they run Sunday night or Monday morning. Hope this helps.
  20. Irish Rail Tara's Mineral Train: Direction Navan to Dublin... Tara Mines 00:15 --> Howth Junction 02:02 --> North Wall 02:15 --> Alexandra Road Tara Terminal 02:30 Mon-Fri Tara Mines 09:20 --> Howth Junction 11:28 --> North Wall 11:44 --> Alexandra Road Tara Terminal 12:00 Mon-Fri Tara Mines 12:25 --> Howth Junction 14:44 --> North Wall 14:57 --> Alexandra Road Tara Terminal 15:13 Mon-Fri Tara Mines 18:50 --> Howth Junction 21:02 --> North Wall 21:15 --> Alexandra Road Tara Terminal 21:30 Mon-Thurs
  21. 086 passes Hazelhatch & Celbridge today at 10:58 carring HOBS autoballister wagons to North Wall. More available from today at http://www.youtube.com/deutschbahn. Nice one btw gm171 of the DFDS, great location to film!
  22. Those lima mk3's wouldn't be a bad buy at around €40 a piece. The silverfox mk3 dvt would go nicely with it.
  23. I agree. I think the livery looks very well done. I would change the darker shade of green on the sides to a grey colour as well as the front buffers on the first coach. I don't think Irish rail will be painting the ICR's anytime soon though
