  1. Cheers Patrick, laser cutting is the way to go
  2. Indeed, 4 x 600 foot long platforms several waiting rooms, 2 subways and 2 water towers. Some great pictures and information in the late Norman Johnston's book 'Parting Shot'.
  3. Some of you may be aware of my layout which is representation of the old Watson Street station in Portadown and the nearby junction. If you have seen it at any of the exhibitions over the past few years you will be aware that it has always been a work in progress. In particular it has never really had a model of the station! Anyway, I have recently thrown myself into the world of laser cutting to construct the numerous station buildings and associated structures, which includes the 3 large canopies. I have attached some pics of my efforts, focusing on Platform 1. Hopefully they are in focus enough to give the right idea. I hope to show the layout at the UMRC event in August.
  4. I'd love to know what that building apparently on stilts is that is attached to the main building on platform 4! Looks great Leslie
  5. Hi GNRi, I may be interested in this.
  6. Hi Leslie, Patrick Davey alerted me to this. How can I help? William.
  7. Beautiful piece of modelling.
  8. Have you an asking price for this?
  9. Yes. Got the slight buzzing that indicates trying to run a dc loco on dcc. Both sets of lights came on.
  10. Hi Blane, yes I'm aware, but this is very much a local community event. Last year most attendee's hadn't been to one of the bigger events.
  11. I organised a model railway day in the village hall in Aghalee last year and have been asked to organize another. I'm planning for 29th October. It would be great to hear from anyone who might be interested in bringing something along to exhibit. It's just a very relaxed fun day. William Redpath
