  1. Rememeber when they would run them with the cravens once Be nice to see them back up on railtours and branches but mightnt be likely due to their condition And 2 were sold off to maam cross not too long ago But only time can tell
  2. Whilst I’m here gents Which size of basalt should I choose to get as I’m ordering 4 large bags for abt 8-9 ish quid from temu(a Chinese e commerce website for cheap stuff) which isn’t too bad for modelling stuff And I will be looking around at a lot more websites like temu especially when my laptop gets its memory back in it seeing as I’m buying a lot of what I need but also have a parents if I need them too but also don’t wanna be stinging off them iswell ofcourse
  3. I got my hands on a strip of flexitrack to show the carpenter what it’s like as I’m not after sharp corners and want it to be somewhat oval It’s the track with the 60 cent coin standing on Im also planning to be adding a pre-made layout that was formally a display to the opposite side on my room from Connolly shed
  4. Idk if these have been sent already but if not Here’s some I picked up at my local station right as I sent this

  6. Ofcourse ill show the whole process
  7. Forgot to send this is well Rough concept sketch of the layout Ain’t no Picasso with sketches but least the ideas actually can make some what sense
  8. I’m also installing corkboard as an extra bit of silence too and realism when I basalt the tracks
  9. Carpenter came and he told me MDF is the best to use as it won’t be going outside or near anything damp as it’s gonna be in my room MDF will be 18mm thick I was thinking too ahead when he first came but he finally got what I have in my head as I put it down, glad I did knowing myself I also explained what will be onto him as he first thought I was building platforms like the station but when he realised I was building just the shed, it cleared a good bit of confusion All in all, satisfied with the plan but I’m hoping the build it with him but been told it’s gonna be done when I’m in school I will be doing the wiring, scenery, track laying, etc; myself ofcourse
  10. Thanks so much It came to me that with movements and extra weight of landscape and other extras that it would be prone to crack especially when there would be DCC wiring under the board for the tracks Exactly, Ill have a look and see if my grandad down my road has anything or my dad at his workplace
  11. Is varnishing the boards a good idea before placing any track and landscape?
  12. Thanks so much, Would ply be the best for wiring and strength?
  13. Apologies for the long wait for an update as i was waiting for the carpender who i was hoping for a helping hand is what ive been told by my mam but no sign of him and go what i originally intended and do it myself Im going to get my laptop back from the repair shop this afternoon after school to do the full track layout of my room on Anyrails and will post the final results and concepts here Seeing how i am for money after getting my laptop back, i plan to go to marks and get my flexitrack, in the meantime, im going to sort my room and put stuff back on my desk and shelves (except the one i will build Connolly shed on) that were previously cleared for the carpender Also need to verify with my parents to know if they are planning anything else with my room in the meantime to have the green light to get building Speaking of building, Im also planning on getting MDF board from a woddies near me and my grandad down the road has tools i can use and i believe he also has excess wood that can come in handy, if i need any other tools, i can get some from my dads workplace when it comes to more finicky and eletronical
  14. Also as u are one of many at downpatrick planning and placing new track, was there ever a plan to have the route expanded up north of the former line to crossgar?
  15. Brilliant, would downpatrick be open for visiting currently, if not do u know when?
  16. Isnt there talks abt scrapping their railbus?

  20. Looked back she was on platform 2 Odd time especially with the chaos in Connolly when it was when it was bright, Docklands did take some of the ease off Connolly but wonder if IE expanded on docklands for it to accommodate the Longford and Mullingar trains to take more of the chaos out of Connolly?
  21. Took this at north wall dk if there’s any connection?
  22. Here’s the others IMG_3889.mov Thanks so much, I was able to read them at the time I was taking photos of the shed but forgot what it said
