  1. What mk3s are they as they don’t look like Lima, did u make them urself?
  2. Exactly I’ll be doing it just 3 tracks, battery shed and the turntable
  3. Ur exactly on point, as the area in working with is too small to do connolly with 4 tracks and the the coal yard it is also the most nostalgic with me seeing it over the years
  4. Would there be a drawing of the front with 3 tracks leading in?
  5. What BR mk3 did u repaint?
  6. Good question So in the 3 standard set there is 7135,7156 and 7141 with the 201, there 7129, 7151 and the restaurant car is 7411 I’ll be getting ready run from silver fox and I’ll find a realistic but cheap mk3 gen van as no point splashing money on something I’ll be painting
  7. Thanks Darren I’m not very good wilt any rail but I’ll defo give it a try and I’ll use peco streamline tracks for the point tracks as they suit best Got these On my way to Bangor
  8. The dealer selling them told me one of those went for €1500 he showed me a screenshot @WRENNEIRE posted abt it I can’t seem to find the post but I’m delighted anyway and I hope to buy a silver fox push pull and make my own mk3 gen van in the mean till I’ll use my mk2d gen van I noticed in the last photo the coaches had different tints of orange likely from sun exposure or from warm lamps
  9. Unexpected happend( I bought the set)
  10. I’d forward them onto u when I get an email of them but for now I’ll work with Sketches of support and board Measurements of the area where it will be in my room Track layout(satellite view from google earth will work perfect) and I’ve photos of other extra details like junction boxes I took on my way to Bangor that morning
  11. So from the “blue bible” on the bottom up to the Dingle train is what I’ve got but I’m keen on standard gauge dimensional drawings also the Tralee and dingle by rowlands, McGrath and Francis and the bottom last 3 is what I got in Donegal heritage centre
  12. Ive sent an FOI request and drawing of the shed is one of them
  13. so my era of the shed is the 80s to present day and heres a refrerence of what i have im mind for the front
  14. Its been made
  15. Hi all, Im wondering if any of u here have any recommendations of sourcing books, magazines and all inbetween with drawings of irish rail stock While back, I got my hands on 4 really good books with them in Donegal museum and wondering if any other museums, heritage sites, etc; had a few or many Im thinking libaries might be a good start starting from my local one and keep me busy during easter break
  16. To be specific as the selection like u mentioned is so broad, im after Locos, Coaches, Railcars(push-pulls) and Wagons from MGWR, GNRI, DSER, CBSCR and NCC So simply in other words, all standard gauge rail stock from the 1940s to present day is my kind of cake And thank god for the FOIS as if i ever need any modern railcars, i can always go on there which is brilliant and currently awaiting drawings from them
  17. Perfect ill start a thread as it would benefit people like myself looking for drawings
  18. Stock of steam/diesel locos, coaches and wagons from the 40s to present day please
  19. Makes sense, thought it was one of the locks itself
  20. Thanks so much it seems to of stop posting wilst working on the windows, wonder why?
  21. Also am drawing on a4 sheet of paper a dimensional diagram of the future layout and hoping from IE’s FOIs that they will supply a drawing of Connolly shed its self and maybe the yellow brick house and turntable next to it, if not I’ll ask as the FOIs are a great, easily alternative to source specific needs based on our railways as many would know
  22. Where Connolly shed will be Where I then had the idea to put in the turntable So I can remove the white shelf where my 141 is displayed but as u can notice chunk the brink went, not to worry as there will be wooden support beams put in as I will have locos and other rolling stock up on there
  23. Thanks so much, ill show what im working with as connolly shed will be a siding from a double track which ill also be sending which will be very basic circuit with cork pad under the tracks and sections going into the shed and out im planning on placing basalt and basalt will definally be around the shed itself
  24. Would a set of those mk3s and the mk3 restaurant car be for sale at bangor? Personally would love to pair it with silverfox push-pull
  25. What 201 class loco are these being taken from?
