  1. I'd be interested in that. I'll email you. Paul
  2. A very distinctive sound indeed that carried a long distance - I lived 800 metres from the railway in Marino, Dublin. The demo sounds authentic. Twice daily at 11:04 and 17:34 it could be clearly heard, manfully pushing the Enterprise out of Connolly through Fairview and Clontarf. In 1979 I managed to get a run in the cab of 102 Falcon from Dundalk to Connolly thanks to getting hold of a footplate pass. According to my records, the cab window was too dirty to bother with photos. It's probably my favourite train and I have 3 Hunslets and a rake of Maroon and blue coaches on order. Can't wait for their arrival.
  3. I called Mark's Models Hawkins St., Dublin a moment ago and they answered. The number called from an Irish mobile was (01) 671 5809 so presumably you would call international 353 1 671 5809. Hope that works. Paul
  4. I got both lists and he also said this: "I am away on holiday for the next week or so and will get back to you on price. The locos are not chipped and come 'DCC ready'."
  5. Thanks for that, it's an interesting idea that I'll look into. It might be the only realistic solution to my lack-of-space problems.
  6. Thanks guys.
  7. I too have just joined and would like to say hello to everyone. Brief background: I used to have a model railway in the attic until I moved away as an adult to a house that has the DART line at the end of the garden (a childhood dream come true) but I lost interest in model railways. 40 odd years later and the model railway gene has very recently reasserted itself with a vengeance. I find it hard to believe how much things have advanced like DCC and the quality of what's on offer. I have no room in the house for a layout but that hasn't stopped me from starting a collection of locos and rolling stock. It's a pity that the resurrected interest didn't happen about 5 years sooner. Anyway, hello everyone. Paul-B145
