I did visit it once or maybe twice. I got a little 0-4-0 set with a battery based controller from Santa but it stopped working. I remember my mam brought me there on a dull dark day. The man advised us that the battery controllers were no good and to go for mains. Saved up and bought a small black controller. Still have the 0-4-0, wagons, controller and even the track. -
I was reading about the off peak 2 unit darts that are running. Does anyone know if the 8500 series darts can run as a 2 unit train?

Been warming up for this for a while ! An early shot of some early work on a Dart 8500. It will take a while !

almost done. Happy enough. some small details and a bit of tidying and the 'awning' type edging to add. Next is either Roscommon signal box or water tower.

P.S. My selection of christmas tree has a good wire to it so is nice and strong. Found next to bin in work!!!

grab a bit of cheap fake Christmas tree. trim bits to suit. dip in watery pva. dip in flock. repeat. allow to dry. pics to follow. Not perfect but a good background tree if you dont feel like spending the price of a pint on one tree....
