That Seon Ruiz chap puts in a massive amount of offers. Pretty sure I've bought one or two things where he has offered and then contacted the sellers in private to withdraw his offer.
Adverts is a bit weird in that you can’t message the person unless you put in an offer.. If they set the minimum offer to €150 then you have to offer them €150 to even PM them!
I wouldn’t ever take an adverts offer as binding till you speak to the person for that reason- 2

Speaking with the day job's cap on, there's is a potential set of traffic flows that could open up with that section opening up in conjuction with what is being done further south with Foynes. Dublin Port is growing busier and with the reopening of Foynes, Ballina liners could be diverted down the WRC and down to Foynes, saving paths on the congresed Port- Athlone section and having to run around on the mainline at Kildare for Waterford liners.
Again highly dependant on IWT and XPT switching ports to Foynes but who knows...
Very hard to see Foynes going back into handling containers, it's in the wrong place and doesn't have a big enough market to justify regular calls from a container vessel.. It was tried back in the early 2000s with parts for DELL in Limerick as the base load and didn't work out.. Even less likely to work out now that DELL is gone..
If anything we have too many ports handling containers, with Waterford suffering from it's proximity to Dublin and Cork, and recently Rosslare also now that it handles containers and has a regular service to/from Belgium which Waterford lacks(big missed opportunity for them)..
To be honest, doubling all the way from Galway to Portarlington and from Kildare to Athy or even Carlow should happen before any more of the WRC gets built..

I've never seen the Base Toys UlsterBus Tours one before.
Is it prototypical or imaginary?
I'm interested either way!
It's prototypical but waay before my time!

Does your domestic supervisor need a new coat?
Get her a Ballybrophy coat. Ideal for going to exhibitions and trudging round model shops behind you.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334866370054
Only £160 - but, if you watch it for a few days, you'll get an offer of £120.
Is she worth that..?
Never knew a Ballybrophy coat was a thing.. Was it designed with the long wait on a windswept platform for the Nenagh branch line train in mind?

Is there a web link to it?
The group is called "Irish Railways Buy and Sell - Models & Accessories, Memorabilia & Books"
But the add for the RPSI Cravens has been deleted(think it has been posted about 3 times now).. There are some RPSI Mk2s available at the moment though

So €85 each, plus postage, plus 23% of that combined value, plus a handling fee?
Probably works out as cheap ordering six of IRM's new Park Royals instead. That's a shame, as the Cravens' are lovely coaches.
Yep works out about €67 for Vat on top, so an extra €22 a coach
€85 x 3 + €20(Post)= €275 * 23%= €63.25(VAT) plus €3.50(Admin fee)

How does this work for Irish buyers when it comes to import tax and handling fees?
Payable at the point of entry, so add 23% onto the landed value(cost of goods plus postage) and add on the admin fee..

Spotted this one facebook, the vessel is loading at Hammond lanes berth on the south side and the container stacks behind are in MTL.. Would be some job masking a painting a 40ft box into rainbow livery methinks! Maybe @Arran's next release?

Have always had a thing for Military railways(Christian Wolmar's book on the subject being a particular favourite), that is fantastic work! Will you be adding an oxford rail Boche buster to your layout to complement this?

Hi All,
I have 2 of the Murphy's 141s in Supertrain livery, moving them on as they are too early for the time period I hope to model.
Both are in excellent condition, packed in the original boxes with the detail packs unopened..
Looking for €225/each plus P&P(or can meet in D7/D15 area), or if there is any interest would swap for 141/181s in IE/IR livery, or MK2Ds in IE/Galway livery

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all the pre-orders which continue to flow in, very positive. These were probably part of the last truly interesting era of coaching stock on the network, and we would dearly like to add to that range in time should these be a successful model sales wise. So, support it and you never know; more coaches from this era and we will seriously look at doing a top of the line heat van too.
Which steam heat van would you like to see though?
Cheers!
Fran
Dutch is the obvious choice, can go with the park royals, the IE mark 2a/bs and the RPSI mark 2s!
And also with a heljan tank wagon for a DASH refuelling train- 2
