I like the look of the new Peco Bulkhead track. The points without the hinge half way along the blade is also a nice touch. If I had more free time I would have went for the correct scale of track and regauge my rolling stock. Sometimes compromising is the only option.
WARNING. The fishplates are rather frustrating to fit!😁

I can't believe that I've just noticed the sneaky Hiberno-Salopian name...
Thanks. Just moved to Shropshire 2 years ago so it seems strange not having every other town starting with Bally!!!😁

Need to start ballast work on the layout.

So what was the other new model?

As for predictions,
42ft flat
Bagged cement/ pallet cement
Oil wagons
22ft flat
Bogie bulk cement
4 axel coal or timber or kegs
47ft flat
Ammonia tankers
Love this list.
How about a three car class 80 and then use the Mark 2 coach mold for the basis for an Accurascale British project!!!
Come on lads!!!

Nice, thank goodness they didn't run in Ireland or we would need to rob a bank!!!😂😀

Thanks Paul. Yes it looks ok. A bit strange at first but after 40 years of running on HO scale track it was always going to be!!

Well everyone, it we're at 90% - 10% in favour of a 2018 programme announcement, but there is still a few days left. so you never know what way voting could go!
Now, to plan the announcement should voting dictate it!
Just announce some flats as my container collection is gathering dust!!

Early February announcement with regular updates like ballast and bubbles sounds good.

Just to be difficult perhaps every 6 months so that you have a fairly good idea how advanced projects are and still people have time to save so cash for the spending spree!!

I have yet to buy track for my layout - I'd be looking seriously at this but don't think I could operate with the small range of points.
Talking to rep at Warley they intend to expand the range, but how quickly is any man's guess!

Just a few notes about the new Peco Bullhead track for those that haven’t seen it before. Sleeper spacing is greater than code 75 or 100 streamline track.
Points are currently available in large radius only, here is a photo of code 75 and bullhead side by side.
Also the hinge joints on the point blades are gone.

NIRCLASS80, great!
Do they have the full range of pointwork. I'm trying to source track at a reasonable price at the moment. I've been cutting very large radius curves in ply today to assist with the flexi track but my purchase is only weeks away. Will follow your progress. Are you buying locally?
Still only large radius points available but I decided that would be fine as I am building a fairly simple shelf style layout. They are lovely points.
I am buying locally but I live in Shropshire so it maybe a distance from you!!
After my previous large Canadian layout this layout is very much planned to be operationally interesting so my track plan is fictional and just very much a place to enjoy the lovely Irish models now being produced.

Lovely modelling.

It would be CAF Dmus like the rest of the system and a rationalised station like most others.

Bubble vote carried out.

Happy Christmas everyone. Love this forum. One of the few places online that you find helpful advice and encouragement.
I think the relatively small numbers involved means we have to stick together.

Eoin, you are 100% correct I was referring to 21mm scale when I said correct scale. All locos and rolling stock are running fine with the wheelsets straight from the box.
