More positive reviews, more good publicity, more sales, even if it is only a few more sets, it's good for Irish modelling.

Survey done, excellent work so far, you lads are stealing my Canadian modelling budget!!

Colin,
There's been much discussion on this forum about Silverfox products, which can end up getting quite heated.
Simply put, if you want a model who's cabs look like they've been belted with a swallow tail shovel, and painted in a shade of orange that was specified by Willy Wonka' oompa loompas, rather than CIE, go for it. If you just want to play trains of an evening they'll suit fine.
If you're of the purist persuasion, much work has to be done and I'd recommend the studio scale sulzer b101 kit over SF as it captures the shape.
As far as MM is concerned and metrovicks, until you hear a firm statement from him, ruling in or out, I wouldn't assume anything.
Richie
Do we have a firm statement from IRM ruling them in or out yet?!!!

I passed York Rd yard via the M2 yesterday all 3 GM loco's sitting in
a line, it would make a nice photo.
Passed them as well but even better two of them were wired together for multi working, Super power!!!

I think the only reason the 201's are slow sellers is due to the large number of Lima models already in the market and some people are perfectly happy with them. Remember the 141/181's from Murphy also didn't disappear immediately.
Irish model market is limited, when compared with most markets it is tiny. We are very fortunate that people like Murphy models took the initial gamble and that them and IRM continue to invest and strengthen the standard of RTR models.
Back to Mark 3's, I think we will see better quality ones sometime as they are just such an iconic coach.

Thanks for the update, better right than rushed, gives us more time to save for an extra set or two!

Reduced to £45.

Fantastic models is all I can say. Really impressed, just about to sell off my North American stock so that I can fund a Tara rake purchase.
Cannot wait for the bubbles!
Keep up the good work lads, brillant

That fiddle yard is amazing never mind the layout

This is one Gareth but sadly I don't have a container of Autoballasters or I would retire!
I do have a couple of them which I might put on eBay to buy a few more IRM bubbles!

lovely modelling. well done,

Hopefully 12 IRM Ballast Wagons in time for Santa.
Same here. Any update on delivery?
-
I was looking forward to the IR version myself.
-
I would say that the "beet" wagons will eventually appear from IRM as they ran in long rakes, meaning that for anyone trying to recreate that in model form would likely run at least 12 wagons too get the "look".
I have no connection with IRM so this is just a future assumption and may well depend on the success of the wagons being released.

Great looking wagon, can the fertiliser bogie be the fourth announcement please!!
-
Great too see the bubbles are well on their way. Just too bad the weathered version wasn't accepted but that's democracy.
-
Was there any information on how the Murphy 121 is coming along?
-
What about us all begging Oxford to include the Irish options in the body moulds so that we could have great Mark 3's, with great cravens, with great ballast wagons, with great cement bubbles, with great 071's,201's,141's,181's,121's hopefully soon and what ever other IRM projects are announced soon!!
-
Noel you dirty dog.
-
If they are weathered to the standard of the Dapol Silver Bullet Slurry wagons then I would happily buy them. Keep up the good work.

I see according to IRM's Facebook account product number 4 is at the top, so cheeky question time, what topped the poll??😁
