I wouldn't have the Easter eggs to do that.

Thanks everyone, glad you liked these.
There are more bits and pieces to come when I get them finished.
I'm not to bothered about dates for vehicles or rolling stock, if I like it it's in.
The MK3 BR Transit van is easier to do as there is less writing on it to remove.
They come up on eBay sometimes, so keep checking.

LINESIDE BUILDINGS ETC.
I have been working on some items that you would see along the sides of the railway and in rail yards.
this is the first one I have done.
It is called REB which stands for Relocatable Equipment Building with the AWS relay box all made with
plastic sheet and the Telecom tower is part kit and part made by me.
it's surprising how many of these are around when you start looking.
Plus 3 vans with IE logo's from Railtec.

That's about the best rollercoaster ride you can get, but I think I will stay on the ground.

They are a lot bigger than the old ones.
What goes on inside?
Will they sell the old ones?
-
Just perfect.

Not much use to us if they are not transported here.
Something that crossed my mind one day was, why does C-rail not do 45s?

I hope the fumes don't go back into the house.
check the tops of tables and worktops the next day, you would be surprized, it gets everywhere.
You could do it outside on a dry day like I do.

NIR HUNSLET 101 EAGLE
This is my Silver fox model of the NIR Hunslet loco 101 EAGLE.
It started with the resin body and then I used a Lima 20 class chassis for the power.
The Lima chassis was old and only had pickup to one bogie so I managed to get pickups
to the other bogie and that helped a lot on the frogs on points.
Blue paint was mixed from 2 Humbrol colours M68 & G52.
The red/orange stripes were hand painted with more red than orange
Hand rails, wipers and foot steps on the front were hand made.
I tried to give it a heavy weathered look but didn't want to over do it.
Hope you like it.
I will start with a photo by J & J Cottrell that they sent to me of the loco at Adelaide
which was a big help, and thanks to them for their help.

That looks great well done.
When you build something from real life it just looks better than a kit that you will see
on other peoples layouts.

Proper track, looks and sounds great.
Those 2 guys used to work for me and they did nothing but talk so I let them go.
You will get no work out of them.

Grey primer should do nicely and then lots of dirt, they will look great.
Happy and safe driving.

They did come up with some crazy designs.
You could try taking a picture outside in daylight, it would look more natural, I know it's cold out
there but it would be nice to see the difference.

Having all the right tools makes life soo much easier.

Totally perfect and the lining would be a tedious job.

So I removed the bogie mounted NEM pocket and built a bracket and new pocket to fit to the back of the buffer beam….
I used brass angle strip and box section tube to create the bracket. After cleaning up my dodgy soldering it was fixed to the buffer beam.
A quick test proved it was at the correct height.
Although the couple now protrudes further past the buffer than o would like some black paint should make it far less noticeable.
Could the pocket be turned to face the other way without hitting the bogie and then attach the coupling.

Lots of space, you can do Belfast to Cork in that space.
