airfixfan Posted October 27, 2021 Author Posted October 27, 2021 To be accurate has had a full mechanical restoration at Whitehead and it is a moveable chassis. All engineering work carried to operational standard. More money needed for next phase which is the boiler and firebox only. Quote

If memory serves there was a halt around the barnsmore gap somewhere. I wonder how possible it would be to have a line between Donegal town and barnsmore all theoretical of course, I’ve only been to Donegal once and never checked the present state of trackbed Quote
airfixfan Posted October 28, 2021 Author Posted October 28, 2021 The section in the Barnesmore Gap being looked at is around where the pub at Biddys is located today. Do try and track down a copy of the visitors guide to the County Donegal Railway printed 25 years ago? We hope to update this book for 2022. Quote
