mmie353 Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 As I was looking around I saw this these pics from this site - https://steverabone.com/RailwayPhotographs/ireland_1984.htm. If any of these pics were posted by someone else, I apologize, I do not recall viewing them before. In case no one has seen them, there you go. I have no idea who took them or anything about this site. 1 1 1 Quote
Galteemore Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 Steve Rabone is a fine S scale modeller. Those pics are gems / this is the CIE I recall. What a wonderful railway it was - basically a steam age system with the only significant change being a diesel at the front. Barring that, this was a railway and way of operating that a Victorian railwayman could have recognised. At the age of 13 I couldn’t articulate that but I recognise it now! 2 Quote
Irishswissernie Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 My best mate David Ford often supplies UK photos to a Steve Rabone who I believe is or was the Editor or a regular contributor to Traction Magazine. Coincidentally being a bit nosey I checked Traction Mags Web site and this is the current issue: 4 Quote
