Is it a road/rail container? Doors in the sides must be quite rare?  And bee hives on top!

I remember those on the roads in 1960s on the back of a CIE truck, in the days when CIE transported bloodstock and did furniture removals, and Aer Lingus did catering. Another era.

Some faded lettering can be made out on the doors, Road Merchandise(?) Services.

It must not have been in service very long having never been repainted.
