Sean Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 hey guys, just wondering if anybody can point me in a the direction of a good tutorial on using this stuff? have a bag of it sitting here that could be put to good use but some instructions would be good before i go ruining a perfectly good bit of timber Sean
0 David Holman Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 Don't know this stuff, but suspect it may be rather coarse - most types are at least a scale too big. Tarmac is actually very smooth and the best ways to represent it are either fine wet&dry (at least 600 grit), or talc shaken liberally on to gloss black paint, then smoothed over and vacuumed when dry. 4 1
0 DJ Dangerous Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 @Robhit the nail on the head with Hueston North for road surfacing. Looks so so perfect.
0 Rob Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 Thanks- l never used that Tarmac scatter now so don't know on that. Mine was the old fashioned 'print on paper' approach 2

0 Sean Posted July 18, 2022 Author Posted July 18, 2022 Finally got around to using this and I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. Quite a good solution for quickly making a textured almost loose chippingy road surface that doesn't look super modeern.
