GNRi1959 Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Can anyone shed any light on the wagon type seen here at Omagh in 1964 and the van parked behind the loco? Please
jhb171achill Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 The van behind the loco is an old GNR standard covered van, behind which 9and to the right of it) are standard CIE "Bullied" corrugated open wagons. These will have come northvia the North Wall - Dundalk goods leaving them in Dundalk, and the Dundalk - Belfast (Grosvenor Road) goods dropping them at Porteedown. On the far left is a fitted parcels van of "Y" class, repannelled in planking by the UTA. 3 1 1

GNR vans had a much flatter roof. 1
GNRi1959 Posted October 14, 2022 Author Posted October 14, 2022 Interesting, David I apologise about the nature of the cropping but too many copyrighted photographs are being snatched off here for facebookers sites. 1
