enniscorthyman Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 As I have a love of electro music,I love the reaction of the folks in the crowd who show utter bewilderment at live and historic firsts, suck as Kraftwerks live Gig in 1970 and The legendary original line up of the Art of Noise playing live in 1984,and finaly OMD doing ABC-auto industry on the tube. Broithe Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Unfortunately, I have no visual record of the reactions that I have got when I have attempted to introduce people over here to the art of Dessie O'Halloran - they usually don't even know if they're bemused or not... Philistines - they should all be sent back to Philistinia... Quote

Broithe Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Not really bemused, but more terrified, was the look on the face of the manager of Oakengates Town Hall, as he opened the doors to let the crowd in to see the Pogues around 1982. He seemed to have thought that he'd booked something like an Irish version of Jimmy Shand and was clearly traumatised by what confronted him. You could clearly see him desperately trying to work out which would be the least horrific - letting us in or trying to keep us out..? Quote
