Any thoughts on a suitable British RTR which might be altered to resemble one of these?

A kitbasher out Wesht made this out of an LNYR 2-4-2

 

All that was changed was the cab and the smokebox door If I was doing this myself I’d make the cab out of 3d print or brass. And tweak the dimensions a bit too (the cab is too rounded and the bumps on the running board would be easy additions) 

 

not to mention I imagine JB wouldn’t be painting such a thing black

Be warned the wheelbase of the GS&W loco is 6'+7' 11"+6' for a total of 19' 11" while the wheelbase of the Lanky class 5 is significantly longer at 7' 10 1/2" + 8' 7" + 7' 10 1/2" for a total of 24ft 4", a discrepancy of 17.66mm in 00, that said if thats alright with you, Im sure you could make a nice facsimile of the Ivatt locos, as seen above

(incidentally Ive also checked the Lanky against the WLWR Lough Derg and the same problem arises)

I’ll have a look at an LNYR chassis and see if any bit can be shortend

 

if anyone has Drawings for an F6 I have somone who is interested in getting it 3D printed 

 

other ivatt cab locos like the J10 might be easier. Also 4-4-2t box top could be possible with the LNYR chassis by replacing the front bogie

Well, none of them ever WERE black, to be fair; might as well paint it in Dart livery!    If black, however, better to use a matt black, rather than a shiny one.....
