Stoby Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 (edited) I always liked the class 60 , great model from Hornby, one of their Best i think , i had one laying about here Dcc with Sound and i advertised it at a cheap price but there were no takers , so it lay here gathering dust until last week that is when i wondered if Irish Rail had purchased any , what would they have looked like , so rather than have it fill up with cobwebs i gave it my take on what i think it would have been in Irish Rail Livery . It is a work in progress weathering next Stoby Edited September 10, 2024 by Stoby 13
leslie10646 Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 I quite like the 60s as well - if only because they give a break from the monotony of endless 66s at Goring - they are used on oil trains from Theale near Reading to South Wales. Livery looks good - almost GSR Steam Grey! 1
skinner75 Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Is the class nickname 'Vans'? The face reminds me of a Fiat (I think) van 1

Well they can pull a mountain. DB have struggled to replace on fuel trains from Wales. Good what if model thanks for showing. Robert
