Patrick Davey Posted July 27 Posted July 27 BROOKHALL MILL - POSSIBLE SALE Hi all - I have had a number of kind folk reach out to me about the possibility of making my Irish micro layout ‘Brookhall Mill’ available for sale. It wasn’t something I had originally considered, but on reflection, it would be better if it was kept operational. If I had all the space in the world, I would do that myself, but I don’t and I’m moving on to other projects. So I thought I would float the idea to the members of the two forums of which I am a member to gauge (boom boom) if there was any firm interest, and then make a decision regarding putting it up for sale. The details are as follows: • OO gauge, with a scenic section of 48in x 18in, and a short single track ‘fiddle yard’ extension. All Peco track. • End-to-end terminus, not continuous run, with only very short train movements possible • DC, but easily convertible to DCC • GNR(I)-themed with a wide range of fully detailed and authentically-styled GNR(I) buildings, all with interior detail and illumination • Co. Antrim-based but easily adapted to represent other areas on the GN network and suitable for running stock into the modern era • Overhead lighting provided via rechargeable strips • Easily assembled and dismantled for exhibitions I was thinking of two pricing options: • £475.00 - to include a Gaugemaster twin-track controller (worth around £150.00) • £400.00 - without the controller Note that no rolling stock would be included in a sale. If there was sufficient interest, I would envisage the layout being available at the end of August. All enquiries via direct message - thanks! 7 Quote
Galteemore Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Great decision Patrick. Be a shame for it to simply stay in storage. 1 1 Quote
DJ Dangerous Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Hopefully Brookhall goes to a good home and gets a new lease of life. I wonder if a potential buyer could replace the fiddle yard with a loop and sidings, space permitting, of course, allowing them a little more operational scope. 1 Quote
