GSWR 90 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I am always quite tickled when I see a photo/video of a preserved loco/railcar/carriage/etc. when it was in service. Please feel free to post any photos like this below. To get the ball rolling, here are some DCDR locos before preservation CSE Thurles No. 1 in the 1950s. 146 and 190 near Kildare, March 2008. Photo by Dylan Kinsella. GSWR 90 (then Castleisland Railway "C") in as-built condition, probably when it was built in 1875. B124 being unloaded in Dublin, the first GM loco to arrive in Ireland. Photo by Jim O'Dea, 1961. 4
Mol_PMB Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago My pic of 055 at Ennis, now preserved at Castlerea: Photo by A Leach, 124 on a Cork-Tralee service: Not really on topic, as it isn't a loco: I'm sure I can find some more. 3
Westcorkrailway Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago These 2 locos are currently about the same distance away now as they were in this photo. 1875 built 90 with future roommate 1958 built C231. i have a picture of 2624 working in west cork, which became 6111 also preserved in Downpatrick. Can’t find it though! both of these rustons have survived. One is in Belturbet and the other is in Clonakilty 1
