Hi all,

looking to model tin van 639A in its later life as a crew dormitory coach. Anyone any recommendations for donor models or would i be better to scratch build/commission a 3D print?

cheers.

A scratchbuild for one of these, yes. Nothing on the market is even remotely like one.

John Mayner does a fabulous Tin Van kit with a TPO option! This might be a good starting point, though I'm not sure he has any stock, check him out.......

I have two of John Mayne's tin vans and can confirm that by far they are the best models of these vans on offer, and they are completely essential for any sort of 1960s scene.

I think your only option is the JM Models kit in this case. I'm doing 639A as well, and that's why I bought the JM kit.
