BREL Mk3s

Hello, has anybody tried making the BREL "International type" Mk3s, I had a quick search in the forum and came up short. Even a search on the WWW has very little. Anybody got some nice close up pics of the real thing in IE days? I have scratch built a few which are now ready for painting, any pics (or advice) would be appreciated :-)

Yes they were experimental/display coaches for BREL, but didn't get any sales with continental punters. Paddy was starvin for converts so took them of their hands for a fortune. Bargain all round. The cool thing about these was (nerd alert) that to scale they were a little over 4mm longer than the other mkIII 3's, so are you planning to cut up a spare mk3 and add the missing bit? I doubt anyone has modelled the Cu na Mara ladies....R

I would imagine it would be hard to convert a standard Mk.3 to a Cu Na Mara given the additional window (9 versus 8) and unusual T4 bogies. Some useful pictures and information here:

You need Jouef coaches for the 3a you might have some spare!!!!
