Warbonnet Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 (edited) Athearn Genesis has released it's second SD70ACe Union Pacific heritage repaint, UP1983 in Western Pacific tribute livery. Mine showed up recently, and it's been well worth the wait. Complete with tsunami factory sound, it's a gorgeous loco. A few pics to see the tempting nature of the dark side! Garfield Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Nice locos, Fran. Are the Bethgons yours too? Quote
Warbonnet Posted April 17, 2012 Author Posted April 17, 2012 They are, I need a good 30 more at least for a proper rake! Quote

Warbonnet Posted April 17, 2012 Author Posted April 17, 2012 Are you sure that'll be enough? You can never have too much. I know I'm over the 20 mark anyway. The trouble is I want two rakes! Quote

BosKonay Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Don't help the man rationalise a desire for 40 wagons!!! Quote
Warbonnet Posted April 17, 2012 Author Posted April 17, 2012 When they come in 5 packs for around 70 squids it's hard to resist! I just need to get some funds together again to stock up. Oh and somewhere to put them all! God help me when it comes to weathering them! Quote
BosKonay Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Wow! Kinda shows the cost of small-run irish stuff Still, 80 wagons to weather - how bad could it be Quote
Warbonnet Posted April 17, 2012 Author Posted April 17, 2012 Wow! Kinda shows the cost of small-run irish stuff Still, 80 wagons to weather - how bad could it be Very true, but on the other hand the market is huge for the American stuff. I guess it's economies of scale. Still, it would be nice to be able to buy some Irish wagons (forthcoming autoballasters aside!) Quote
Warbonnet Posted April 24, 2012 Author Posted April 24, 2012 A quick video demonstrating the factory fitted tsunami sound in these beasts! Quote
