thewanderer Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Evening folks, Well today was a rather busy and interesting day. - First of is an afternoon around Dublin with pictures from Heuston, Tara Street, Howth Jct., Harmonstown and Malahide. - Then a selection of pictures from the Model Railway Society of Ireland Exhibition in Raheny. - Finally I took a train journey from Connolly to Heuston, however it wasn't your normal ICR transfer. Something strange happened in the Phoenix Park Tunnel tonight. Click http://www.thewandererphotos.com and scroll down to "Latest Gallery updates and News" and you'll find links to the three galleries. Enjoy! The Wanderer. Quote
Glenderg Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Lovely shots of the show. Not sure if the ebola themed thing in the tunnel had the production values i'd hoped for. Was it advertised? Quote
thewanderer Posted October 27, 2014 Author Posted October 27, 2014 Glen, Thanks for the comments re the show. Re the Bram Stoker train, yes it was and tickets also sold out very fast. http://www.bramstokerfestival.com/portfolio/underground/ From what I was told "plan A" had a lot more in it with a lot happening in the tunnel. However, what the Director envisioned in her mind and what you can actually do on a live operational railway are two different things. Still something a little different from your usual ICR trip. fishplate7 Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 It was part of the Bram Stoker festival, which took place over the weekend and continues today. The trip through the Phoenix Park tunnel was advertised on the radio. Here's the link: http://www.bramstokerfestival.com/events/ Quote
