Dunluce Castle Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 That's fantastic, did you have any trouble with the glazing on your canopy?
A4mallard Posted October 27, 2014 Author Posted October 27, 2014 Thanks Fran, Nelson I did have trouble where the rear part of the canopy attaches to the sprue it had a small crack. I been in touch with Airfix and they have sent a replacement. Thanks for your comments
Broithe Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Might be wise to leave the canopy open, they were notorious for filling the cockpit with carbon monoxide - various modifications were applied (longer exhaust stubs, sealing the small door shut, etc), but it was never really cured and a lot of pilots used the oxygen mask continuously, whenever the engine was actually running.... ..keep the extractor fan in that spray booth running..
