hi lads, need a bit of help ! am trying to remove the power bogies from a helgan class 58. i is held in place a pin (on which the bogie is suspended from) which is then incerted into holes either side of the chassis. tried pushing the pin out but it wont budge:mad:. dont want to force ot in case i do damage. any tips?

Seamus, I have four of these at home but have never had to take a bogie out before. If you don't drop it in to the other Seamus let me know and I'll have a look at mine to see if I can work it out!

thanks boys....i might not have to remove the pin the drive shaft comming from the motor has popped out of its housing in the bogie -will have a bash at bending it back into position..........

for f sake! got the drive shaft back in and all the wheels will turn when the motor is turned by hand, but she bearly moves on the track!

 

Is the shaft in the flywheel correctly?

checking.....yes. shafts at both ends are correctly in place. when the model is on the track with the power on... nothing! if however i i turn the motor by hand the motor will only move for a second then stops.i turn it again and she picks up for a second-always at the same spot. have cleaned the wheels but no different:((

Ok, is the shaft at the other end clicked in correctly? And is the plastic cap which goes on top of the gear tower holding the shaft in place clipped in?

Have you cleaned the 'tyres' and the tracks where the pick-ups run..?

i will seperate the base of the bogies and remove all the wheels for a good cleaning next...and if that fails , its down to seamus 'train man' graham for an overhall!
