Any Mk2f is a pretty  good match  although the CIE ones were classed as  Mk2D they are nearer to the BR Mk2F , Lima  did a Mk2F 1st and 2nd a little dated but with a little work they are  not too bad . Bachmann have recently introduced a Mk2f excellent models but pricey , Hornby have recently introduced a MK2F 1st  and 2nd  they are really nice coaches and reasonable priced , I managed to pick one up for £31.50 Stg with a view to repainting it in Supertrain colours .

Here’s a Lima Mk2f picked this up on eBay for less than €20 , a bit dated and a few mm shorter than other manufacturers but not the end of the world, add some Shaw plan flush glaze and add handrails and you have got a good Mk2f

Quick question about the Bachmann mk2a FK...

The corridor side (only) glazing has a silver horizontal stripe painted along the full length of the inside of the glazing.

Is this supposed to represent a handrail or something inside the coach?

If so I'll need to try to remove it I suppose as I am sure this would have been removed by IR:

Are there any appropriate window transfers available for these coaches from Railtec etc? (No smoking etc)

Yes the handrails will have to be removed on the FK's(IE did fit handrails to the snack cars 4401 & 4402)
