I can't get much done on the modelling front at the moment as the house is being renovated . Construction should start on the new layout next year but I usually can find time at Christmas/New Year for a bit of peace and quiet modelling; however I will have to make do with looking at a few images. Here are a couple from Glengarriff in March 2023 a few months before closure.

No reason really! I definitely didn't get off (that includes the train I was on!)

CAPTIONS invited for this one! The delightfully named Sins station in Switzerland back in May 1988, I don't know how I missed the possible 'interpretations' here when I took it, probably because I was far more interested in 10970. The loco and the old (possibly just exhausted) chap are probably no longer with us but the lady could well be so I have obscured her face.

We Got A Flat - Announcing the Bulleid LB and PWD Flat Wagons
Irishswissernie replied to Warbonnet's topic in News
I'm not sure if these are Bulleid LB flats but a bit of variety on this CCR Trip, Tractor ,Van and car. No doubt the LB's would have seen the same variety. -
A bit of a disaster this week; the Royal Mail managed to mangle a letter containing some CDRJC negatives, JG Dewing slides probably duplicates but there could have been the odd original and also some UK NER area infrastructure slides. Luckily the CDRJC envelope made it but the rest have been lost somewhere on their 300 mile journey. Here are 2 of the CDRJC negatives, Doorin Road Halt 15 August 1959 and Castlefin probably same date with a Strabane bound Railcars 10 and either 19 or 20 (Edited ID'd as 20) hauling 3 coaches and a van. Railcar 10 being checked over by the Driver. Lastly NIR 112 stabled at Limerick Junction early 2000's

Built in 1937 by Met Vickers & Met Cammell C&W as a joint venture under licernce from Hungarian Co Ganz. Initially tested on LMS between Euston & Tring, further tested in the North East (probably where the LNER ref comes from. No orders for production vehicles came from this and it appears to have spent WWII in the Metro Cammell, Birmingham Works. Later it was re-gauged and sold to the UTA in 1951. Double ended and (initially at any rate) 36 3rd Class and 18 First Class seats. Info from W Scott's Locos of the LMS NCC tome.
