I reckon a class 24 would be your best bet.
  2. Lovely job Popeye, you're turning out some lovely stuff, keep it coming!
  3. You know you want to!
  4. Found your perfect Loco for your next project Anto http://www.wnxx.com/content/021112/57310.htm
  5. Nice job, I always thought the grey looked a bit wrong on the dutch 37, but the fade you put on it has it looking spot on to me. Top work!
  6. Loving the rust on 071 in particular, those cabs are really rusting up on the prototypes.
  7. It could be the chip, try putting a chip from another loco or a new one in to see if the loco works again.
  8. Well done, hope it goes well for you and the best of luck with the project!
  9. Good pic of 112 when on loan to IE here The lamp bracket is in a different place too.
  10. Cheers lads, she's a stunner. The one running at the show was the MTH model. There is a bit of a rivalry between the two in the US, about as friendly as Celtic v Rangers!
  11. 206 was on the shed at connolly yesterday with 8208 and two 071s.
  12. Latest Genesis UP SD70ACe heritage paint, D&RGW UP1989. Tsunami Sound.
  13. Great to see old faces and some new ones today, well done to the MRSI. I thought the 071s would steal the show, then I saw this. Sorry for the terrible pic, but what a beauty.
  14. Will do over the weekend after I get 112 too. Two GM locos turned up today, but the other is a chassis donor for a kit.
  15. Looking forward to getting my hands on 112 tomorrow. I believe I've had another very pretty GM Loco arrive in the post today, looks like it's going to be a good long weekend!
  16. Did you buy the ill fated old Millennium clock for the big countdown to tomorrow Rich?
  17. As Patrick says the 67 is a bit of a fatty Sulzer. The plan was co-co using a licensed 125mph design from Brush (the type used under the class 89 'Badger' prototype) but Brush refused. The 67 now has a low route availability in the UK compared to say, a 37 or a 66. Solid enough though, ala most GM locos.

Will you have her at the show this weekend Des? Would love to have a good look at her!
  19. You know me so well Dave!
  20. She's a whopper Rich, mind you I've had a bit of a difficult time with her. I bought here on sale (even then, not exactly cheap) and there was a whole list of things wrong with her. Apparently there were big problems with the build quality of these locos. After stripping her down and trying to solve the issues I decided that the issues were just too great to justify the price and sent her back to the manufacturer. After two months she showed up fully repaired and running like she should. I'm delighted she runs as good as she looks and sounds now. It also has a smoke unit but we had it turned off as it doesn't look realistic and pours oil over the track. Just need to raise the funds to get some stock to run with her now!
  21. Further work has been done on the GP40X from a previous blog Mainly detail wise. Next up was adding wipers to the cab. Athearn RTR locos (and some Genesis locos too) don't with wipers. I added some very fine Cannon ones here, which are put beside a hair so you can see how fine they are! Comparison with an Atlas loco. It's wipers seem very chunky in comparison. Maybe these Cannon ones could be nice fine replacements for 141s and 071s? [attachment=:name] That's all for now, more detail and repowering to come!
