  1. Welcome to the forum Fran. When you open that link, although it doesn't state the font used it does say "Glenderg Models", I would guess that this is the same @Glenderg who posts on this forum, he may know the font. Hopefully now he may now spot this question.... Hope this helps you in your quest.
  2. Wow, what a fabulous weathering job...
  3. Oh no! The browny-grey and Norweigan blue I can take, but why did they go for the GREEN version, now we're going to have all the usual controversy over the shade of green and whether they are really Eau-de-Nil grasshoppers etc.....
  4. I should clarify that my "funny" emoji reaction to your last post solely relates to the last line! The rest of that post and indeed this thread is wonderfully informative and interesting, I never had a huge interest in the E401 class...until now. Now they are definitely on my bucket list. Your work on building this model is truly amazing, from doing the artwork for the etches through to obtaining the etches and then onto construction has been wonderful to observe and all done at a pace that even @Darius43 of this parish (who appears to be the record holder for rapid and wonderful construction of models) would , I am sure, be proud of. Thanks for all of this and keep it coming!
  5. Thanks Patrick, I think I've read of some of Gareth's models on other parts of this forum, looks like a super model. That's saying something, he must make outstanding models. Just ordered one, looking forward to getting it. Thanks for the heads-up John.
  6. Wonderful stuff, very enjoyable to look at. Just wondering about the 25 ton brake van, firstly would I be correct in thinking that this is an NCC van, is this also the type that featured (sometimes) on the spoil trains to Magheramorne? Secondly is this from a kit or scratch built?
  7. Stunning work Alan, just stunning.
  8. Hi @jhb171achill, email sent
  9. Just read this now, it's a wonderful story and great credit to Callum for his perseverance in getting No.50 completed and running and for sharing this account of it with us. The idea of a talk to the IRRS is an excellent one which I am sure many of us would look forward to. Welcome to the forum Callum.
  10. Fabulous scene, the flicker from the fire makes me want to go inside with a hot beverage...
  11. Thanks @Patrick Davey, clearly Mr. Flanagan is an expert at his craft.
  12. That dusk/blizzard photo almost had me reaching for my warm coat. Methinks we'll be admiring a flickering amber glow from inside the station building before long......It's a stunning diorama, but I never realised that Knockloughrim was mid-way between Brookhall Mill and Clogher Head...... Now that would be quite something! I love your "Dunseverick Castle" btw, a truly stunning loco, I think that UTA livery is most attractive, I was passing Mark's Models in Cork some time ago and saw a Jinty (Marks/Hornby) on display in the window and I was smitten, it's not what I'm modelling at all but....re-writing history a little bit I thought what if the RPSI had been formed a year earlier, they might have been able to pick up a Jinty for little more than it's scrap value and relatively cheap to run too. You've probably guessed by now but I am very pleased with my UTA No.19!, in spite of it not being DCC ready it was a very easy conversion and with a stay-alive fitted it is a stunning low speed performer, didn't see many comments on here about it, which is a shame as Mark's should be commended for commissioning it. Anyhow I digress, was the U-class a kit built model or scratch built?
  13. What a simple and clever idea, well done Accurascale.
  14. Thanks @leslie10646, order placed! I wouldn't have known about these otherwise, there were a few of them that I had mulled over getting originally but by the time I had made my mind up they were gone.....No such delay this time though.
  15. Well that's good news (the bit that you're coming over, not that its your last Dublin show!). You were greatly missed at the NEC show last November, the IRRS stand seemed to be a great magnet for any of the us visiting the Warley (NEC) shows, I know that you introduced me to quite a few people there and I always enjoyed meeting yourself and Richard for a chat.
